Columbia Café and its owner, Matthew Linn, have become renowned for restoring and transforming a historic Craftsman bungalow into a casually elegant neighborhood restaurant. With Chef Justin McDonell at the restaurant’s helm, the café features mouth-watering contemporary and continental cuisine

What began as the singular vision of Matthew in the early 1990s came to fruition in 2002, after he single-handedly rehabilitated the 1930s house, building much of the restaurant with his own hands. Today Columbia Café boasts antique furnishings such as a 265-year-old clock and a 200-year-old piano, which gets played by local musicians each opening night.

Columbia Café is open weekdays from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m., on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and for Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
